  5. Congratulations on purchasing ABC Graphics Suite from Micrografx, including Micrografx ABC FlowCharter 6.0, Micrografx Designer 6.0, Micrografx Picture Publisher 6.0, and ABC Media Manager 6.0.

  7. Installing ABC Graphics Suite

  10. 1. Read the Micrografx license agreement provided on the back of the jewel case containing the ABC Graphics Suite Application CD-ROM. When you break the seal, you automatically agree to comply with the license.

  12. 2. Complete and mail the registration card. As a registered user, you receive technical support and important product upgrade information.
  13.  
  14. 3. Install ABC Graphics Suite.
  15.     a. Start Windows 95.
  16.     b. Insert the Application CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive.
  17.     c. Double-click the CD-ROM drive icon in My Computer.
  18.     d. Double-click SETUP.EXE.
  19.     e. Follow the instructions on screen.

Note about Fonts: Windows requires that fonts be installed to the same drive where Windows is located. If your computer's hard drive is set up as more than one drive (for example, drive C: and drive D:), you can choose to install ABC Graphics Suite to any drive, but you must have enough space available for fonts on the drive that contains Windows.

  23. Installing ABC Graphics Suite on a Network

  26. Instructions for installing ABC Graphics Suite on a network are located on the root of the Application CD-ROM in an uncompressed help file entitled NETREAD.HLP. You can access this file from My Computer by double-clicking on its icon.

  28. Installing SnapGraphics 2.0

  31. ABC SnapGraphics 2.0 is included in the SNAP20 folder of the ABC Graphics Suite Application CD. To install ABC SnapGraphics 2.0, select Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel and follow the instructions. You can also run SETUP.EXE from the SNAP20 folder of the Application CD.

  33. ABC SnapGraphics 2.0 is a Windows 3.1 application. Therefore, it can't use Windows 95 features such as long filenames. Some information in Help may apply to Windows 3.1, rather than Windows 95.

WARNING: In the ABC SnapGraphics help file, it suggests you run CHKDSK at the DOS prompt before installing the application. DO NOT DO THIS! This will corrupt your Windows 95 long filenames support. In addition, the ABC SnapGraphics 2.0 help file provides an outdated technical support number. The correct technical support phone number is (900) 847-8477. This is a paid support number.

Read Me -- You can view the latest information regarding ABC Graphics Suite by starting an application and displaying the help file. For example, in Picture Publisher, on the Help menu click Picture Publisher Help. Double-click Read Me and double-click ABC Graphics Suite Read Me. You can find the latest, up-to-date information regarding all the applications in this file.
